Privacy Commitment

Luen Fat Securities Company Limited (the "Company") strictly adhere to the requirement set out in the Personal Date (Privacy) Ordinance and other law in relation to visitors' and customers' information. The Company will, at all times, comply with the Data Protection Principles set out in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

We collect only necessary personal data from customers and visitors for the provision and marketing of services and products. 
B  
Personal data will only be used for the purposes specified and not for other purposes except with the consent of our visitors. 
C  
All practicable steps will be taken to ensure customers' and visitors' personal data are kept secure, confidential and accurate. Such data will not be retained longer than is necessary. 
D  
Only authorised personnel can access or process the personal data of customers and visitors. 
E  
Customers have the right to access or correct their personal data. 

Notice to Customer relating to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the "Ordinance")

A  
From time to time, it is necessary for customers to supply to Luen Fat Securities Company Limited (the "Company") with data in connection with the opening or continuation of accounts and the establishment or continuation of credit facilities or provision of securities or futures trading services ("the Service"). 
B  
Failure to supply such data may result in the Company being unable to provide the services. 
C  
It is also the case that personal identifiable information data are collected from customers in the ordinary course of the continuation of business relationship, for example, when customers place a trading order. 
D   The purpose for which data relating to a customer may be used are as follows:

1.
   the daily operation of the services and credit facilities provided to customers; 
2.
   conducting credit checks; 
3.
   assisting other financial institutions to conduct credit checks and collect debts;
4.
   ensuring ongoing credit worthiness of customers; 
5.
   designing financial services or related products for customers' use; 
6.
   marketing financial services or related products; 
7.
   determining the amount of indebtedness owed to or by customers; 
8.
  
collection of amounts outstanding from customers and those providing security for customers' obligations; 
9.
  
meeting the requirements to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on the Company or any of its branches; and 
10.
  
enabling an actual or proposed assignee of the Company, or participant or sub-participant of the Company's rights in respect of the customer to evaluate the transaction intended to be the subject of the assignment, participation or sub-participation; and 
11.
   purposes relating thereto.

E  
Data held by the Company relating to a customer will be kept confidential but the Company may provide such information to the following parties for the purposes set out in paragraph (D): 

1.
  
any agent, contractor or third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment, debts collection or securities clearing or other services to the Company in connection with the operation of its business;
2.
  
any other person under a duty of confidentiality to the Company including a group company of the Company, which has undertaken to keep such information confidential; 
3.
  
the drawee bank providing a copy of a paid cheque (which may contain information about the payee) to the drawer; 
4.
  
credit reference agencies, and in the event of default, to debt collection agencies; and 
5.
  
any person to whom the Company is under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on the Company or any of its branches; including but not limited to: 

(a)   The Company's Auditors
(b)   The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited
(c)   The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong
(d)  
Any financial regulator as defined in the Ordinance, government bodies, other regulatory authorities, individuals or corporations who have the right to such date and information as prescribed by law; and
6.
  
any actual or proposed assignee of the Company or participant or sub-participant or transferee of the Company's rights in respect of the customer.

Under and in accordance with the terms of the Ordinance, any individual has the right:

1.
  
to check whether the Company holds data about him and of access to such data;
2.
   require the Company to correct any data relating to him, which is inaccurate; 
3.
  
to ascertain the Company's policies and practices in relation to data and to be informed of the kind of personal data held by the Company;
4.
   to be notified the function of the data; 
5.
   require the Company to collect data by fair methods; 
6.
   provide only necessary data; 
7.
  
require the Company to obtain customer admission before altering the function of the data;
8.
  
require the Company to keep data with practicable security system, and such data would not be retained longer than is necessary;
G  
In accordance with the terms of the Ordinance, the Company has the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request. 
H  
The person to whom requests for access to data or correction of data, reject future promotional services, for information regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held or requirements according to the terms of the Ordinance are to be addressed as follows:

Nothing in this Notice shall limit the rights of customers under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

In the event of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese version of this Notice, the English version shall prevail.

All information provided at your discretion will be deemed and remain the property of the Company and which the Company shall be free to use for the marketing of financial services and related products. Such information will be passed to any group company of the Company and related business partners who have undertaken to keep the information confidential. This web site has been using the Cookie File to collect personal data. When customer visits this web site, our Internet service provider would record your information. This shows only your Domain Name Server address and the pages visited. The Internet service provider would only disclose to us the aggregate number and types of visitors. We will use this information only for preparing statistics.
